You could turn on Power Save Mode. I don't know exactly what it does to save power, but it must do something... I haven't ever tried using it. It's in LG's hidden Service Menu. If you want to try it, here's how:

1. Open up the dial pad.
2. Type in ##LGSERVICEMENU (##5473784236368)
3. Type in 000000 (six zeros) for the code
4. Go to Field Tests -LG
5. Go to Power Save Mode
6. Tap On

I don't know what happens next. Too scared to try. 
It shouldn't do anything to your phone, except what it says. It might restart the phone, which is normal.
