i connect my phone, open bitpim, click on env touch and every time i try it comes up with a message "Found other CDMA phone on COM4"

I also try the other ones (Chocolate 3, Dare, etc.) and none of them work...

I believe COM4 is the USB port that i'm using but why won't it recognize my phone?
 Huh

In Bitpim, turn off auto detection.
1. Go into settings
2. Uncheck detect phone at bitpim startup

You might also not be using the right COM port.
1. Go into settings and click Browse next to Com port
2. Find the one that says LGE USB Modem (make sure your phone is in Modem Mode!)

Then it should work. I always set it to EnV Touch when I do mine. Just saying....

Good luck!

On the COM port the recommended ones are at the top. Are you using one from up there?

Yes, i know i'm using the correct port, i was not doing it right the first time, but i am doing it right now, but it still doesn't work... the window that use to come up saying "found other CDMA on COM4" doesn't come up anymore though so there's an improvement

well i don't really know how to help now. i'll take a screenshot of my screen and how i set up bitpim. hope it helps. also, just a side note, on the com port selection thing, the one with a (*) next to it is likely to be your phone.
