Okay, I know I have made a guide somewhere before on here, but it was under a different topic. So here's a guide on how to set up Bitpim, in its own, easy to find topic.
So here are the steps to set up Bitpim:
1. Download the latest version of Bitpim (I think the latest is 1.0.7). Once installed, open Bitpim.
2. Plug in your phone (Make sure your phone is in Modem Mode! On phone go into Menu>Settings>USB Auto Detection>Modem Mode)
3. By default, Bitpim will try detecting your phone at startup, but it will fail. Once it fails, it should ask to open settings. Click yes. (If for some reason it doesn't ask, just open settings anyway)
4. Uncheck detect phone at startup, so you only have to do this once.
5. Under Phone Type, set it as either EnV Touch, Chocolate 3, or Dare. It doesn't really matter.
6. Under COM port, type the COM port your phone is connected to. If you don't know, click Browse next to it, and look for LGE USB Modem. It should be at the top of the list. Click OK once you've found it.
7. Click OK to save settings.
8. The preinstalled categories Bitpim has on the sidebar for your contacts and stuff won't work for the phone. So to view the filesystem go to View at the top and check View Filesystem.
9. Click Filesystem on the sidebar. This will give you access to the filesystem. (opening the root folder of the phone will take awhile to load, but just wait, it'll work)
Here is a video for the above part, just in case you need a visual.

Okay, so now you have access to the filesystem, and you're ready to put themes on the phone.
All the theme files are in the folder flash>ui.
-The main menu themes are in flash>ui>menu
-The flash wallpapers are in flash>ui>wallpaper
When you download a theme here, it should be in a SWF format. If it's in a zipped folder, extract it so it's in the SWF format. Once you extract it, navigate in Bitpim to the correct folder, for either a theme or a wallpaper.
Choose which preinstalled theme you're going to overwrite.
------BACKUP THE ORIGINAL OF THE FILE------
then you can overwrite the file.
Note: if you aren't sure which file in the folder is the one on the phone, the numbers on the end of the file name correspond with the order they are in the list on the phone.
So now I think that's it. If I think of anything else I'll put it on here. ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOU BACK UP THE ORIGINAL FILES!!! in case something goes wrong, or you want to put it back to normal. I've attached the originals in case you forget, but try not to.
Okay, that's it! Hope this helps, and I hope not to get a ton of replies and PM's asking how to set up Bitpim.
Have fun!
