1st download YouTube Downloader
http://download.cnet.com/YouTube-Downloader/3000-2071_4-10647340.html
its 100% safe and free of viruses!
then go to the video in YouTube you want to download and copy the link of the video.
then open YouTube Downloader and paste the link where it says ENTER VIDEO URL!
make sure where is says Download video from YouTube is marked. and press ok.
Now how to put the video on you Choco touch!
go to tools in your phone and all the way to the bottom it should say USB Mass Storage. Now before clicking that.. plug your phone in your computer and then click on it.
a window should come up right after that and click where it says open folder to view files.
or if it doesn't go to My Computer and find it there.
There should be two folders that say my_flix. don't erase any of them!!
now look for the video you downloaded and drag it to both folders and also to the folder that says Media. you must put the video on the three folders or else it wont work. now check your phone and the video should be there!

( Not all videos will play on the phone. so far most of the ones i downloaded work bc their Mp4. if y'all have any question or don't understand something just ask me. i tried  to be as clear as possible. sorry if someone else already posted this!)

see that's the thing, all the videos i downloaded said they're mp4 so i don't get it.  i thought it was just a matter of not having enough space available but i deleted some stuff and it still wasn't working.  i don't get it, like, are the videos really not mp4 even though they say it?  it's so weird.

Just being mp4 format isn't enough. There are different types of mp4 files and if these videos are not going straight on to the CT, then they are not coded right, and needs to be converted. I would suggest getting a freeware program called iPodME and trying different encoding profiles.

Also, the videos go into a folder called "my_flix"

i'm starting to get really annoyed b/c i still can't figure out why all of a sudden youtube videos aren't being recognized on my phone!!!  i tried everything, deleting things to make space, converting the file, picking smaller videos, NOTHING!!!!!  only the first 2 videos i put on work, everything after that is 'video type is not available'.

Not all YouTube videos are mp4s (a lot/most are .flv). Like I said, they will need to be converted into a format playable on the phone.

yea i said i tried converting it to mp4 format.  still didn't work but i figured out what the problem is.  for video playback the ct only supports a max resolution of 320x240.  all the videos that didn't work were in the 600's.

I use Freemake Video Converter to download YouTube files and convert them to 3GP format for the CT. You can also convert other file formats. You can put the converted videos in the my_flix folder.

Or you could just play YouTube videos straight from the phone by going to m.youtube.com in the Browser.
