you must be doing something wrong cuz i have never had a problem with mine.  if u really want to and its giving you so much trouble just go into your security options and to a full reset.  just make sure you have backup assistant or a memorycard with all your info and contacts on it.  if that doesnt work yours may have a factory malfunction.

I have to agree with you. Before I got a new phone, this phone was starting to act up. That's the main reason I got the Kin TWOm. This phone is starting to get way outdated, after being released in 2009.

Some problems I've experienced with the phone are:
- Ugly UI. That stupid rainbow menu bar at the bottom annoys me so much...
- Horrible T9 keyboard. Doesn't remember words you put in. For some reason instead of typing "to" it put in "un", as in "a" in Spanish.
- Not so good resistive touch screen. I've found myself wishing I was carrying around a stylus with me to type on the keyboard.
- HORRIBLE web browser. I have the $10 data plan, so it would've been nice to have a decent browser. It takes you to a seperate site just to enter your URL and view your Favorites! That's ridiculous!
- Bad app support. Runs BREW apps, so you can't install custom Java apps on the phone. All Verizon feature phones are like this though.
- EVDO Rev-0 instead of EVDO Rev-A. This doesn't make a huge difference, but Rev-A has slightly faster download speeds, and significantly faster upload speeds.

Of course there are also good things about this phone I miss since I've switched to the Kin. Of course these are just things the Kin is missing, but still:
- Apps. Kin can't download apps. Especially miss the Skype Mobile app.
- On screen keyboard. The Kin TWOm has a sliding keyboard, but none on screen.
- Message forwarding. Almost every phone has this, but the Kin doesn't.
- Those little graphics you can put in text messages. New Text> Options> Add. Only Verizon customers can see them, but they're still kinda cool.
- Editing text font. New Text> Options> Format Font. You can change alignment, size, style, and color.

It was a nice phone, but I'm glad to have a new one.

Hey CodyMWS... i was thinking about switching to the Kin TWOm from the CT.  since you have it i wanted to kno if you thought it was a good or bad phone.  i would like to drop the $10 a month for the data and primarially use the wi-fi since i have wi-fi and i dont always like using my comp for small things like facebook.  i hope you will give me some feedback on which phone you think is better, faster, and easier to use.

thanks for your help,

Oh the Kin TWOm is WAY better than the CT. Since the Kin was originally meant to be a smartphone, it has a lot of smartphone-like features. It has an 8 MP camera with 720p video recording, WiFi, Zune music player, FM radio, capacitive touch screen (which is the same kind the iPhone has), and an excellent keyboard.

The WiFi is pretty good. Not the best range I've ever seen, but it's decent. And you definitely could replace the data plan with WiFi. But if you did this, I'd suggest getting a data block on your account (and be sure to exclude MMS) just in case it disconnects from WiFi. Because if it disconnects, it doesn't warn you, then it'll start using data through Verizon's network. And you'd get charged for it.
So as long as you block data, WiFi could be a great replacement. But then you'd only be able to use interent where there's WiFi. It depends on what you want.

The camera is great, touchscreen is as good as an iPhone or Droid, and the Zune player is really good.

The Kin TWOm is the best feature phone on Verizon's network.  Grin

hey thanks man, if my plan works out i was gonna get the kin TWOm.  if not i would wait for the iPhone 5.  the wi-fi range doesnt matter to me since i got the router in the room i am mainly in.  i figured it was sort of a smart phone cuz of the cam and wi-fi.  i have also read some stuff about the data too.  but thanks for telling me to block it.  i wasnt sure what the touchscreen was so thanks for helpin me out on tht.  also thanks for sayin that the music player is better than the CT's cuz it isnt great on the CT.

thanks for helpin me out
