anybody know how to get a replacement OEM backplate?

my wife and i just got chocolate touches. we really like the phones, but there's one problem. one phone came with the black rubbery backplate and the other came with the black painted backplate. when we went back to verizon, they told us that they dont have any more of the rubbery backplates because that was an older model. (i guess we got the last one of those)

i've been searching all over the web for a replacement OEM rubbery backplate but can't find one. can anybody help?

Here's an alternate suggestion: get one of the PhantomSkinz or similar covers. That'll make it so you can't tell the difference between the rubbery and painted backs, and it'll protect your whole phone from scratches.

no they don't make them anymore. unless by some chance you find one USED on ebay, amazon or craigslist, you won't find a NEW one. the new backs without the rubber are better anyway b/c they won't peel and look bad over time. that's why the stopped making them btw.

As already stated, used ones might be available - maybe check this one:

they appear to have a bunch of them, so maybe send them a note and see if any of them are the rubberized ones...
