My Husband and I have had our Chocolate Touch phones for about a year now.  They have not been dropped and have worked great until my husbands touch screen stopped responding.  He took it to Verizon and they upgraded his software.  That seemed to work for about a day then it started doing it again.  Mine was working fine until about 2 hours ago.  Does anyone know how to solve this problem without having to go to the verizon store???  Getting very frustrated with this stupid phone!!! Angry

I have had a problem occasionally where my phone will freeze and I've had to pull the battery out, but it's never been so bad that I've had to go to the Verizon store to get it fixed. But I think it's probably a problem with the phone. I've had quite a few problems with this phone, so it wouldn't surprise me. I would suggest going to a store and telling them you've been frequently having this problem. They might replace it. I've had a problem with mine and they replaced it.

Well hope you get your phones working again soon. Good luck!

Took phone to Verizon and the girl there looked at it for like 2 seconds and said well it's still under warranty and gave me a new one.  Didn't even try to fix it or anything just said that the screen got locked up and so they just replaced it.  So now I have a phone that works.  I don't know how or why it did it but oh well.

Mine went wonky too.  Screen does its own inputting and does not respond to my inputs. Warranty was one day out and they did nothing.

Imagine that...the topic with the most views is this one.  My screen, too, has gone goofy and won't input properly.  I won't recommend this phone to my friends...

I have a chocolate touch and the screen was going haywire dialing people, going to my favorits, going to the phone book and randomly dialing numbers, and then it just would not respond. I looked at it and realized that every time I would touch it would light up the same icon. I figured that there was pressure on the screen probably by having it in my back pocket and sitting on it and bending the top plastic over the screen just enough to where there was pressure on the screen from slightly being bent in.

I took a small suction cup used on my shower caddy that keeps it stuck to the wall. It was almost the exact size of my touch screen. I pressed it to the screen and pulled out on the suction cup for about a minute pulling the top plastic away from the screen. After about a minute of doing this I removed the suction cup and now my chocolate works perfect.
Easy fix!!!!

Your welcome friends...
